Energy Efficiency Grants

Receive up to $2,000 for energy upgrades in 2024!

In 2024, Community Climate Collaborative (C3), in collaboration with Community Investment Collaborative, will award Energy Efficiency Grants to small, minority- and woman-owned businesses to be used for energy efficiency upgrades (appliances, lighting, heating/cooling systems, etc). Our goal is to help these businesses achieve emissions reductions and financial savings through capital investment, up to $2,000 each!

2024 Application Timeline

Applications accepted through: July 1, 2024 Final awards announced: Fall of 2024

Eligibility Criteria

1. Have a business license in the City of Charlottesville or County of Albemarle.

2. Qualify as a Microbusiness by Virginia SBSD criteria (25 employees or fewer).

3. Preference will be given to Woman- or Minority-owned Business as defined by Virginia SBSD criteria. SWaM certification is desired, but equivalence is acceptable with valid documentation.

4. Proposed upgrade must have demonstrable savings of energy usage and/or reduction of emissions. C3 can help with this step! Just contact us at corp@theclimatecollaborative.org.

Energy Efficiency Grant Application
