Black Business Spotlight: Celebrating and Supporting Black-Led Nonprofits!
As a part of Black History Month, we wanted to highlight a few of the amazing work of Black-led nonprofits in our community! We encourage you to support their mission and programs.
City of Promise
MISSION:
Our mission at City of Promise is to end generational poverty, and to foster a culture of achievement in which all children in our community graduate from high school, ready for college or career. We accomplish this through partnerships with our parents, neighbors, organizations, schools and community.

In the Summer of 2020, we deployed over 20 climate action kits to City of Promise families, and they loved it!
Conscious Capitalist Foundation
MISSION:
Conscious Capitalist Foundation works to interrupt the school to prison pipeline by providing financial literacy training, business skill development, and credible messenger mentoring to transform the thinking, attitude and behavior of high-risk youth so their past circumstances don’t define their futures.
We will be partnering with CCF on climate justice and youth this Summer!
The Love No Ego Foundation
MISSION:
The LoveNoEgo Foundation is a 501c3 nonprofit foundation that provides real-world development for youth and young adults ages 10-24, utilizing its principles, Love over Ego, Love over Fear, & Communication over Conflict, helping them to overcome challenges, find purpose, and live their true greatness.
Founder, Freddy Jackson, and his mentors do amazing work with young people of all ages! In 2019, Freddy took a spin in our all-electric Colonial Nissan LEAF as a part of Driving Climate Solutions!
PHAR - The Public Housing Association of Residents
MISSION:
PHAR’s Mission is to educate and empower low-income residents to protect and improve our own communities through collective action!
