Another World is Possible Youth Climate Film Screening

  • Vinegar Hill Theatre at Lighthouse Studio 220 West Market Street Charlottesville, VA 22902 United States (map)

Please join us for a local and global youth climate film screening and panel discussion that C3 is hosting in partnership with Pocacito at the Lighthouse on Thursday, October 24, from 6:30-8pm.

We are very excited to host two prominent Fridays for the Future leaders at the event - Helena Marschall, who directed the 2023 short film "Another World Is Possible", and Luisa Neubauer, who was the named plaintiff in the successful 2020 suit "Neubauer vs Germany", which resulted in the German government adopting more ambitious and far-reaching decarbonisation targets.

To add a local complement to "Another World Is Possible", we are also showing a series of short films made by local teen interns from both the City and County with C3 from our youth work over the past year.

Featuring opening remarks from Albemarle County Board's newest Supervisor Mike Pruitt, a panel discussion with our guests and local youth, and opportunities for an audience Q&A, this event will underscore the importance and impact of climate advocacy for decision-making at every level.

When it comes to climate action, the local is global. Learn how you can get involved wherever you are and whatever your age!
