Calling all Youth!!!

C3’s Green Teen Alliance is hosting its first interest meeting of the year on October 23rd from 4-5 pm at C3’s Office (415 8th street NE, Charlottesville, VA). Regular meeting times will be the 4th Sunday of each month except for November and December which are the 3rd Sundays of the month (Nov. 20, Dec. 18).

Come learn about sustainable clothing and clothing waste while making your own reusable bag from second-hand cloth! There will be various sewing machines for use and we will teach you how to use them. We also have the option to make a no-sew bag if that is more Comfortable.

Everyone will also receive a free sewing kit to finish their projects at home and to allow you to repair your clothing in the future!!! Feel free to bring your own clothing if you would like to make it into a bag, sew on patches, or repair and upcycle it.

The Green Teen Alliance hopes to agitate for hope, educate for change, and ultimately organize for solutions to address the climate crisis. Come join us!

Any member can propose meeting or project ideas/themes for broader membership to pursue for future meetings as well!
