The Silk Mills Building, in partnership with Community Climate Collaborative (C3), presents the 1st Annual Electric Vehicle (EV) Showcase on Saturday October 23rd, from 12noon-4pm. The EV Showcase will feature over a dozen different EV makes and models including Chevrolet Bolts, Teslas, Nissan Leafs, and the Ford Mustang Mach-e, covering a broad range of price points, performance, and style. The EV Showcase will also feature live music and radio with 106.1 The Corner, as well as local food vendors. This is a fun and free family event. For those who prefer two wheels, e-bikes will also be part of the showcase.
The event will give drivers curious about EVs a chance to see the selection up close and personal, and talk to EV owners themselves about the many advantages of driving all-electric vehicles.
Local advocacy groups, including C3, Generation180, and Virginia Clean Cities will be on hand to talk about the environmental benefits of EV. The event is supported by AltEnergy, Tiger Fuel, Carter Myers Automotive, and Indoor Biotechnologies, all members of C3’s Green Business Alliance: a group of 16 Charlottesville area business leaders committed to reducing their collective carbon emissions by 45% by 2025.
