C3 Launches Virtual Climate Camp At-Home Learning for Kids and Parents

Charlottesville, Virginia – April 1, 2020

The Community Climate Collaborative has developed an innovative five-week online program for parents and kids to have fun and learn about environmental awareness during the month of April as families follow the COVID-19 stay-at-home order that went into effect this week.

C3’s Virtual Climate Camp hopes to add some fun and inspiration to working parents, single-parents, and families at home with activities ranging from easy-to-do upcycled art projects to s’mores solar ovens made from pizza boxes. C3 will be giving away one hat, t-shirt, or reusable bamboo utensil set each week for the best photo or video shared online (tag @c3climate and use the #virtualclimatecamp hashtag).

WHAT: Five-Week Virtual Climate Camp: engaging online videos, books, and offline activities related to climate action and awareness for kids of all ages pre-kindergarten through high school.
