C3 Welcomes Summer Interns
As the school year comes to a close, we are thrilled to invite our two new summer interns into our office! Both UVA students, Page and Isabel will be working with us through August on our Home Energy Challenge and our Better Business Challenge.
Page:
Page (left), C3’s Home Energy Challenge intern, is a rising fourth year at the University of Virginia from Cos Cob, Connecticut. She is studying Political Philosophy, Policy, and Law and minoring in Spanish. At UVA, Page volunteers with Madison House and is a member of Alternative Spring Break. She recently co-lead an environmental service trip to Congaree National Park after attending one in Moab, Utah during her second year. In her free time, Page likes to run, hike, ski, and spend time in the outdoors with her friends. She hopes to eventually attend law school and pursue a career in environmental law.
Isabel:
Isabel (right), C3's Better Business Challenge intern, is an undergraduate student at the University of Virginia, double-majoring in Global Security and Justice and Environmental Science. Isabel is a student employee of UVA's Office of Sustainability, where she primarily focuses on waste management and reduction campaigns. As a Virginia Beach native, Isabel loves spending time at the beach, but has also grown very fond of the mountains surrounding Charlottesville. Her love for the outdoors has inspired her studies in environmental science, however, through recent exposure to public health classes, she has narrowed her focus to environmental justice. After graduation, Isabel plans to pursue a degree in environmental law in order to give a voice to those disproportionately exposed to environmental risks. In her free time, Isabel enjoys traveling, exercising, making jewelry, and taking care of her plants.
We cannot wait to see what this summer has in store and are excited to work with our new interns. Welcome, Page and Isabel!
