Congratulations to our Executive Director, Susan Kruse, who was appointed to Governor Northam’s Clean Energy Advisory Board last week!

“In order for Virginia to become a climate leader, we must reduce our statewide emissions,” said Susan Kruse. “We need a cleaner grid and incentives which promote wind and solar energy. At the Charlottesville Climate Collaborative, I encounter Virginia businesses, residents, and communities that are ready to lead on climate. It will be my honor to represent them and work to bring clean energy solutions to all Virginians through my service on the Clean Energy Advisory Board.”

According to the press release, the Governor formed this 15-member advisory board in the executive branch of government “for the purpose of establishing a pilot program for disbursing loans or rebates for the installation of solar energy infrastructure in low-income and moderate-income households…The bill establishes the Low-to-Moderate Income Solar Loan and Rebate Fund to be used to fund loans or rebate payments to electric customers who complete solar installations or energy efficiency improvements.”
