Election Day is Tuesday, November 5th, where City and County residents will be headed to the polls. We wanted to inform you, as voters, about the City Council and Albemarle County Board of Supervisors candidate’s views on a variety of climate issues. So we asked every candidate 10 questions and published their responses unedited and in their entirety. Click on each candidate’s photo or name to see what they had to say.

Charlottesville City Council Candidates

On the ballot for City Council are Bellamy Brown (I), John Edward Hall (I), Paul Long (I), Sena Magill (D), Michael Payne (D), and Lloyd Snook (D),

There are no Republican candidates in the election for Charlottesville City Council.

 
 

Albemarle County Board of Supervisors Candidates

The ballot for Albemarle County Board of Supervisors includes candidates from three districts—Scottsville, White Hall, and Rivanna. Running for the Scottsville district are Mike Hallahan (R) and Donna Price (D). For White Hall district, Steve Harvey (R) and Ann Mallek (D). Lastly, Bea LaPisto Kirtley (D) is running uncontested for the Rivanna district.
