“Our connection to GBA has encouraged efficient use of energy in our office environment, an increase in recycling to reduce our environmental impact, and efforts to educate our team members so they can share this knowledge at home, at work, and in their communities.”

Providing CPA and Advisory Services to our Community for over 90 Years

About Hantzmon Wiebel

Hantzmon Wiebel, a CPA and advisory services firm, has provided solutions and created value through professional services for businesses, individuals, and nonprofits in our community for over 90 years. Both Forbes and Inside Public Accounting recognize the company as one of the top tax and accounting firms in America. Hantzmon Wiebel is committed to making a positive difference for its clients and community members, and they strive to accomplish this mission through their professional services and civic involvement.

Making Local Changes for a Global Difference

In 2018, Hantzmon Wiebel participated in a Local Energy Alliance Program (LEAP) audit. The recommendations from the audit led the firm to make more than ten significant changes to help reverse climate change. Some of the changes include the removal of unused A/C window units, a change from bottled water to water filtration machines, and the installation of 82 solar panels. The energy conscious actions taken by the firm led to being recognized by the Community Climate Collaborative’s Better Business Challenge for “Solar Energy Special Recognition for Demonstrating Climate Leadership” in 2019.

Working Together for a Greater Impact

The Hantzmon Wiebel team recognizes that joining the Green Business Alliance allows us to become part of something larger than ourselves. Because of the combined efforts of alliance members to promote green efforts in our homes, schools, and neighborhoods, the team feels empowered to make a positive impact within the community its members cherish. Participation in the alliance provides a platform to share our knowledge of how to incorporate smart energy solutions and sustainable business practices in our daily lives.

Improving Efficiency

Hantzmon Wiebel continues to plan action steps toward a greener work environment. We will soon install an app that allows the thermostats to be controlled by computer or phone, which will make it easier to maintain a consistent temperature in the office. With this system, we plan to put Energy Star temperature guidelines in place for the heating and cooling seasons. Hantzmon Wiebel anticipates a continued partnership with C3 and GBA members and knows this will drive continual change and growth.
